9 Down, 3 More to Go

10 days since my last update on this blog! Within the past 10 days, at least one big thing and many little things happened. And the big thing that I was referring to is the end of Fall semester! Woohoo! Fall 2012 was my 9th semester in American Degree Program and thus, this 3-week holiday is probably my final Fall break before graduation! With the closure of this semester, I am counting down to my final 3 semesters! =)

As expected at the beginning of the semester, it was an assignment-laden semester. Special Project was an interesting course that allowed (or forced) me to complete a photojournalism at Little India, Klang. Then Contemporary Topics in Marketing was also out-of-ordinary with its 100% assignment-based; the subject was actually effective in providing exposure to various marketing topics. Other subjects that I took were Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communication, Management Information Systems and Corporate Financial Management. The first mentioned was pretty cool; it gave a little taste of the tedious advertising industry while the latter two were annoying! They were both requirements for business core and were neither my interest nor expertise, thus the headache!

I imagined myself feeling overly relieved and excited to kickstart the holiday but that was before I sat for the exam for Corporate Financial Management. It was not a killer paper, but a ground shaker definitely; a friend, Bo, said that I looked more stressed after than before the paper. True!

But nevertheless, I still carried on with my holiday plan. It was pretty intensive but I loved it! From Thursday afternoon till Sunday night, I did the following:

  • Joined college friends (Sh, Bo, Vi and Sh's cousin: Ed) for 5-hour-long karaoke, where I was made to sing children songs.
  • Had breakfast with a group of high school friends (JH, SY, SS, Ap, CY and JH's two brothers: YK and YS) and celebrated SY's birthday.
  • Went for a quick shopping with ST at Sunway Pyramid to get essentials for his internship and graduation gift for his sister.
  • Watched Mission Impossible 3 with a big group of college friends (Ni, Vi, Bo, Ch, Yi, Ra, Ya, Je, Sh and JJ); I think it was my first time watching movie with that gang... =/
  • Attended a lecturer's farewell party at Bukit Jalil with the Communication Club gang (and Iv was nice enough to send me home past midnight; first college friend who came to my house? I think so.)
  • Accompanied home-alone ST and sang karaoke at his house =)
  • Went for a full-day exploration at Pavilion and Bukit Bintang area with ST. I was really excited to visit Sephora!
By the end of the 4-day fun, I was really exhausted. Today was the official first day of my holiday. It was not a productive day, as expected, but I accomplished some important tasks though! (So, maybe it was considered productive?)

Random photos taken throughout the 10 days of hiatus:

In the midst of revising for final exam, I begged ST to bring me out to AEON Bukit Tinggi for a quick break!

And during that quick steal, I filled my little sushi cravings!

I thought this strawberry looked funny with it's leaves all "styled" up.

I unintentionally took this photograph of beautiful Christmas decoration at Neway, Subang without permission. Oops. But they are pretty~

JH said I looked bad from my last-minute revision rush. Normal lah. Haha... I'm always last-minute. *peace*

Noob ST got a straw too small for the drink so he had to popped another in afterwards.

My phone battery died on Friday noon so I exchanged phone with ST to survive my fun-packed Friday. The phone's pretty cool but I was a failure.

ST setting up the karaoke system for me~ =) I shall go play PlayStation there next time.

He was so happy when he spotted Boost at Pavilion. Apparently, he's a fan of the juice bar back in Australia.

Had lunch at Food Republic, a food court that we purposely visited at malls in Singapore when we were there. Those in Singapore had unique themes and the food were pretty nice.

Conveniently had dinner at Taiwan Recipe at Sungei Wang. The food there was not bad *thumbs up*

ST and I don't like mushrooms so he actually picked out all the mushrooms in there o.O

That's it for now! Till then!
